Easter singing

Last night we had singing in the chota and many visitors came and joined us.
During the week, the children did Easter crafts and after the singing the younger ones presented symbols of Easter while the older ones recited Easter memory verses. We also watched a video clip called 'My last day'.

Off to school

On Thursday, our four new children excitedly set off for school at Chingola Primary School.  The other children were their tour guides on the bus trip and were eager to show them to their classrooms!

Just moved in

This week we welcomed 4 new children to Ipusukilo. Pray that they will settle in to a totally new routine and will be able to start school at Chingola Primary this week.

First day at school!

Everyone was very excited when Kaluba was starting his first day at Nursery this week. He likes to think that he is a big boy now going to school on the bus and he even gets homework.

Grade 7 success!

In December, Bright received his Grade 7 National Examination results. We are all pleased that he passed with a good mark and this week he started Grade 8 in secondary.

Street Kids Christmas Party

Last Sunday we held our Christmas event for the Sunday feeding programme. Usually we get around 70-80 attend, but at this time when there might be more on offer the numbers swell.
At Ipusukilo, our children prepared 120 bags of goodies, 240 rolls filled with polony and sorted through 200 Christmas shoe boxes. When 145 turned up on the day, we had to quickly produce some more food and share out the rolls.
