RTSA competition

The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) organised an inter-school competition on road safety. John and Rebecca were selected together with two other pupils to represent Chingola Basic School on Monday this week in Kitwe. By Wednesday they were in the final where they came second of all the schools that entered on the Copperbelt.

Here is John's version......

The headmaster received a letter that said to find 4 pupils from grades 2-6 for the competition. Miss Makondesha had a job to train and pick the children. She trained us until Friday when she picked John, Rebecca, Natasha and Jonas.
So the day came we went to Kitwe for the quiz. The first time we were competing against Nakatindi who we won and then three other schools from the Copperbelt. We were in the final against Ndola Basic who won 23-9 in the first round and we tied in the second round so Ndola won.
Everything we were doing was to promote safety in the road and breakfast and lunch was provided by RTSA.
We are hoping to go to Lusaka with Ndola to represent the Copperbelt (in a national competition).
